SAN FRANCISCO – January 21, 2020 – SmartNews, Inc announced today that it has hired its first CFO, Kanishka Roy. Based in San Francisco, Roy will be responsible for all aspects of accounting, finance, capital markets execution and investor relations for the mobile news unicorn.
Roy brings more than 20 years of experience in technology and finance to bear on SmartNews’ financial operations across the company’s six worldwide offices. In that time, he has worked with software and internet companies, achieving outsized outcomes through public market IPOs, private placements and industry-defining M&A.
